Pre-Kindy one and Two

Our Class Program

Next Generation’s Pre-Kindy education and care room’s have 20 toddlers each day between the age of 2-3 years. We have four educators each day, the Group Leader has a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and the three assistants will have either a Certificate III or Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.

We provide consistent educators in both Pre-Kindy One and Two rooms throughout the week and use the same pool of relief educators when our full-time educators are on annual leave or personal leave.

Outdoor Environment

The Pre-Kindy outdoor environment’s focuses on teaching our children about developing a sustainable lifestyle. The children have to opportunity to care for our vegetable and herb gardens.

Each child in Pre-Kindy One and Two are observed on a regular basis and individual experience is planned for them. Their observations and planned experiences are kept in their individual learning journal which is available to be viewed at any time in the education and care room.

Educational Programs

Educators in our Pre-Kindy rooms use sociocultural theories by Maria Montessori and Erik Erikson to embed pedagogies that support role modelling and observation, encourage children in developing identities, using the environment as the third Educator and involving children in routine building.

We achieve this by setting up aesthetically pleasing environments for all children to interact with and embedding independence through consistent routines.
