We provide natural play spaces for the children to play, imagine and explore. We create a holistic program where the children’s interests are the focus of the program and the distance they have travelled through the Early Years Learning Framework is documented in their individual learning journals.
Here at Next Generation School of Early Learning the Early Years Learning Framework is what structures and guides our curriculum. With our children’s voice, parent input, community influence and Educator participation we build a program to fit every child in our care. We use a range of theorists to support our intentional teaching and spontaneous scaffolding so that children can learn through play.
Each enrolled child receives an individual learning portfolio that displays their arts and crafts, participated incursions, photos of significant moments and developmental reports throughout the year.
Other aspects of our curriculum such as programs, individual observations and individual planned reflections can be accessed and viewed at parents’ leisure via the Playground app support by Xplor.
We run a school readiness program all year around to support children transitioning into the school environment. This is led by our Early Childhood Teachers who encompass a holistic approach to teaching and provide learning opportunities to assist children in transferring skills they have learnt and developed from one area into another. Thus, embedding pedagogies based on the theorist Fredrich Frobel and Howard Gardener.
A music workshop provided to all children once a week.
A weekly yoga class that incorporates stretching and movement.
